Well, it seems more and more likely that I'll leave LJ for good. Just so sad that I don't have any active communities on DW. Well, I suppose I could go back to thinking of this as a journal, rather than somewhere to kill time by lurking in comms, but that would mean that I'd actually have to start writing... Not sure I have it in me to do that. Maybe if I grab me an app for my new iPad mini. ^^
I didn't do nano this year. Never came up with an idea, so I just let it pass.
I've been reading a bit instead. And listening to some some audiobooks. Neil Gaiman's "The Graveyard Book", and "Gardens of the Moon" by Steven Erikson. And I'm still working on "House of Chains", by Erikson. Soon done with it, and I have no idea why I've taken so long to read it. I picked up an old classic for my Christmas reading plans, a book I haven't read since high school; "The Hobbit". I might pick up "The Lord of the Rings" after that, all in honour of Peter Jackson's new film. The only film I will see with both my parents. :)
So now I have a premium account here for 6 months. Which means I have all my icons again! And I also finally managed to import all my old comments as well. ^^ So now I suppose I'll have to stay here. I do miss my Red Rock theme from LJ, though... Though the calming blue of here is nice too.
I am satisfied.
This is the first entry I make on DreamWidth. Whether I'll stay here, I'm not sure yet. Guess it would depend on how bad LJ messes up the new friends page. I'm going to miss my layout there, but I think I've found a nice one here. I will miss the mood icons from LJ, though. And my permanent account with all its user icons... I have imported all my LJ posts, though I'm not sure whether it saved the friends lock? Need to check that closer...
