Did NaNo this year, and won! ^_^ 56000+ words!
Tumblr is dying, I'm quite sure. The NSFW ban goes into effect 17. December, and after that, it'll only go downhill. Hoping Pillowfort will get its servers stable (and bigger) quickly. And might have to start looking for people on Dreamwidth. And I have no idea why I'm updating here; it's not as if LJ is suddenly going to resurrect, or something...
I'm going to go see what I can do about my DW now...
NaNoWriMo 2017
November 7th, 2017 22:55Well, looks like I'm doing NaNo this year as well. Though I suppose I'm cheating a bit, as I'm continuing last year's story. It wasn't even halfway done last year, and even though I've been thinking of the story a lot, I haven't written any more since then.
So here's to another 50000 words of my weird Victorian London steampunkish fantasy!
I haven't updated here in a while, and figured I could at least tell/boast about doing NaNoWriMo this year. And I'm ahead of schedule for once, and probably won't give up this year. I've written over 30000 words, and I'm not even halfway through the story that's slowly growing in my mind.
I'm proud of myself.
I didn't do nano this year. Never came up with an idea, so I just let it pass.
I've been reading a bit instead. And listening to some some audiobooks. Neil Gaiman's "The Graveyard Book", and "Gardens of the Moon" by Steven Erikson. And I'm still working on "House of Chains", by Erikson. Soon done with it, and I have no idea why I've taken so long to read it. I picked up an old classic for my Christmas reading plans, a book I haven't read since high school; "The Hobbit". I might pick up "The Lord of the Rings" after that, all in honour of Peter Jackson's new film. The only film I will see with both my parents. :)
I'm going to hate myself a bit later in the month for a decision I made last night. I have resolved to attempt to win NaNoWriMo this year. As a matter of fact, I'm already hating myself... I still have 1412 words to write to day to keep up with the daily amount of words. We'll just have to wait and see how far I get before failing miserably.
Wish me luck...
